Requirements
Two teams
Two or four players
An assortment of items (selected beforehand) to use for improvised scenes.
Approximately 3-5 minutes long
Compere needed : no
Method
1. Both teams are handed a prop or set of props to do improvised scenes with. These can be anything so long as they are visible to the audience and useable by the players.
2. A team is selected to start the game.
3. That team must then make a scene with the prop provided (lasting no longer than 20 seconds). The prop doesn’t have to be used in it’s intentional way, this is after all an improv game! The use of the prop can be as abstract as the player wants (e.g. using a banana as a phone). Each team take it in turns to make a new scene with their props until the compere feels the need to stop the game or the game exceeds the time limit.
Explaining the game to the audience
“This game involves (insert players names). What is going to happen is I’m going to give each team a prop and they have to think up as many things to do with the prop as they can. We’ll start with (insert names).
Here's an example of how to play the game from Drew Carey's Green Screen Show
