Nestled at the Castlegate end of Aberdeen’s historic mile-long Union Street this little boutique nightspot is the premiere destination for a wide array of sophisticated electronic and live sounds and is the place in Aberdeen where you will always find some of the finest djs and acts dropping in from across the globe. 

A combination of great music, superb drinks list, and a cooler crowd of people in an environment that just oozes atmosphere and style is just a few of the reasons we were placed in the top 3 nightspots in Scotland for 2006.

With our ever increasing status as a top quality music venue as well as a 'bam' free zone, Snafu has also become thee venue of choice for hosting great afterparties for some of the bigger shows that come to Aberdeen from time to time, with bands the likes of LCD Soundsystem, Ian Brown, Mylo, the Rakes and The Streets all dropping in after their gigs for a party, knowing they will be well looked after.

Snafu is about continually pushing new music and ideas, continually evolving whilst continually punching above our weight with global spinners, indeed global Dj/Producer legends the likes of Jaun Atkins (USA), Xpress 2 (10 deck setup), 2020 Soundsystem (live with Ralph Lawson), Layo & Bushwaka, Jon Carter, Dave Clarke, Cassius (Dj set), Felix Da Housecat, Jacques Lu Cont (Les Rythmes Digitales), James Lavelle (Unkle), Groove Armada, Crazy P, Kevin Saunderson, Mr C, Radio 1's crew Seb Fontaine, Gilles Peterson, Fergie, Lottie & Rob Da Bank, even a dj set from the Fun Lovin' Criminals and an ever increasing portfolio of quality residents that now includes Gene Farris (Chicago), Harri (Sub Club) & The Unabombers (Manchester) that have all added to help create the renowned Snafu vibe.

Also creating waves now on the live music & comedy scenes, the likes of Soil & Pimp Sessions from Japan, The Rumblestrips, Lady Sovereign, Crazy P, 20:20 Soundsystem, The Needles, The View & the Greenskeepers amongst others have hit the stage, along with a vast selection of up and coming local and national bands and comedy acts. At Snafu we continue to push the entertainment boundaries in with any act or sound, big or small so long as it's good.
